Commentary	第７師団は、元来北方のソ連に対して北海道防衛を主任務として、旭川を主な所在地としていたが、1944年4月に、対米防衛を企図して北海道東部（主力は帯広）に移駐した。終戦時の師団長は陸軍中将鯉登行一。司令部は1945年9月22日帯広にて復員。
