Digital Archives Japan Award for 2025

We are pleased to report that last August, our center received the Digital Archive Japan Award for 2025.

The award recognizes archival institutions and users who are actively engaged in expanding digital archives and promoting their use, and publicizes these efforts to society at large. Japan Search, a well-known digital archive platform, has presented the award annually since 2022.

The Center received the award in recognition of the uniqueness and scale of its materials, along with its efforts to adapt to changes in the information technology environment, while continuing to serve as one of Japan’s leading historical archives for over 20 years.
