　Japan and Qing signed the Jiandao Agreement to solve the border issue between Qing and Taehan Empire (the Korean Empire). As a result, the Jiandao Agreement was concluded to solve the problem by transferring the Jiandao district (current Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture and Changbai Korean Autonomous County of China) to Qing in exchange for Japanese acquisition of the rights to construct railways in Qing (China).
