　The battle of Fengtian (Mukden)was the largest land battle of the Russo-Japanese War from the end of February to March 10. As a result of the battle, Japanese army occupied Fengtian. The Times of Britain reported in the newspaper dated March 25 on the detailed situations of the full-scale offensive to the effect that the battle was one of the largest battles in modern times and should be comparable to the battles at Austerlitz and Waterloo.
