　This is the full text of the Imperial Edict for Declaration of War when Japan and Russia declared the war. It reads that the Emperor was called "Dainipponn-Koku Kohtei (Emperor of Great Japan)" in those days. The declaration ends with the closing remark, "The guarantees for the future which We have failed to secure by peaceful negotiations. We can only now seek by an appeal to arms."
