The 8th Imperial Conference is held. The Japan government dismisses any possibility of a breakthrough in negotiations with the US after delivery of the “Hull Note” on November 27. Engaging in war with the US, Britain, and the Netherlands is formally decided upon at this conference.

On December 1, 1941, the engagement of war with the U.S., the UK, and the Netherlands was decided upon at the 8th Imperial Conference.
Material 1 is substance from the 8th Imperial Conference. It appoints the date, place, issue, attendants, and the dress code.
