Commentary	工部省の内局。1883年9月、工部省内の諸局・課を統合して設置。局内に書記・会計・鉱山・営繕・統計・用度の各課を置く。1884年8月、調査課を置く。1885年12月、工部省廃止に伴い、廃局。管掌事務は農商務・内務各省に移行。
