Commentary	大蔵省の官吏。1869年8月（明治2年7月）の大蔵省創設時に際して設置。大蔵大輔の次席だが、その地位・権限は大輔と同等とされた。なお、同年9月（明治4年8月）の改定官制によると、少輔の任命は適宜に委ねられた。1885年12月の内閣制度創設に伴い、廃止。
