Commentary	第8港務部は1942年9月25日に編成。第8根拠地隊隷下の部隊として、ラバウルに駐留した。1944年12月1日に第8根拠地隊が解隊されると、南東方面艦隊附属となる。1946年4月29日にラバウルを出港したVO23号にて264名が復員した。
