Users who cannot agree to comply with the rules for use are not permitted to use the database.

The database comprised of Asian historical records supplied by Japan Center for Asian Historical Records （referred to as "JACAR" hereinafter） has been constructed on the DjVu format, which is the next generation image format. The user consequently needs to download the DjVu Browser Plug-in and install it into his or her computer before browsing the said materials. The Plug-in is free.
