Series

Series This icon represents a series. It is displayed on the layered search page, and at the hierarchy of search results and catalog page.
Series is a collection of subseries, managed by each of the organizations.

Subseries

Subseries This icon represents a subseries. It is displayed on the layered search page, and at the hierarchy of search results and catalog page.
Subseries is the smallest unit of document collection. Subseries may have different names by each organizations.

Subject

Subject This icon represents a subject.
A subject is consisted of a page or pages. Image can be browsed with subject.

About meaning of terms

Dictionary The "dictionary" is a glossary that we provide as a supporting tool for search.
The dictionary has basic terms, and their synonyms and related terms. By choosing "ON" for "Synonyms and Related Words" at the keyword search, if the keyword entered is in the dictionary as a basic term, it automatically searches the keyword's synonyms and related words as well.
Reference code It is a 12 digits code assigned to each documents. The first digit of the code is an alphabet, and the rest are numbers.
Documents in our database are identified by the reference code.
Summary Summary is one of the items displayed on catalog page.
For subject level, summary item contains first 300 characters extracted from image, or keyword representing the document.
