1.8 Advanced Search screen
Advanced Search
You can use multiple search keywords for a search. The keyword items you can enter as search condition is described below.
- For description on the area circled by red, please refer to Description on search function 1.
- For description on the area circled by yellow, please refer to Description on search function 2.
- For description on the area circled by green, please refer to Description on search function 3.

Description on search function 1

■Organization
You can narrow down the organization to search. Checking the checkbox beside the organization will include the organization in the search target.
■Document type
You can narrow down the document type to search. Checking the checkbox beside the document type will include the document type in the search target.
■matches per page
You can select the number of records displayed per page from the pull-down menu.
■"Search" button
It executes search.
■"Reset" button
It resets the search conditions to the previous setting.

■Search Item
You can select the a search item object from the pull-down menu.
| All | It searches all the items contained in the documents. |

| Title | It searches title of series, subseries, and subject. |
| Writer | It searches the name of writer. |
| Content | It searches the contents or keywords in th documents. |
| Organization history | It searches the organization history. |
■Search Keyword
You enter keyword to search by. For the instruction in keyword input, please refer to About keyword input.
■Synonyms & Related Words ON/OFF
It determines whether or not the search keyword should include the keyword's synonyms and related words registered in the dictionary for the search. Description on configuration is below.
| Synonyms & Related Words ON | It uses your keyword, its synonyms, and its related words for the search. |

| Synonyms & Related Words OFF | It only uses the keyword you have entered for the search. |
■"Browse dictionary" button
This function is available in case you wish to use only a part of the synonyms and related words in the dictionary. For instruction in selecting the search keyword, please refer to 1.9 How to use dictionary.
■Operator
You can select an operator for each keyword fields from pull-down menu. How to select an operator is described below.
- The case which includes one or both of the keyword (OR operator).
example) When you wish to search for the documents containing "日本" in any items, and "憲法" in the title.

- The case which includes all the keyword (AND operator).
example) When you wish to search for the documents containing "日本" in any items or containing "憲法" in the title.

- The case which excludes the keyword (NOT operator).
example) When you wish to search for the documents containing "日本" in any items, but "憲法" in the title.

■Date
You can search the document creation date by specifying the date range.
- ※You can enter up to 4 digits for year.
- ※If you only specify TO date, the search will be executed under a condition of "Before the date".
- ※If you only specify FROM date, the search will be executed under a condition of "After the date".
- ※When specifying Date, at least one of the year for FROM or TO has to be entered.
- ※Specifying only month or date is invalid.

■Select Series
You can narrow down the search by specifying the series. For instruction in selecting series, please refer to 1.10 How to select series.
